They don’t disappear, they live in your fascia, your breath, your posture, your nervous system.
This is why sometimes, no matter how much insight you gain, your body still feels on edge or frozen.

The freeze, the shutdown, the overwhelm – they’re not mindset issues.

Somatic healing is the art of working with the body to access deeper emotional truths.

I’ve seen time and time again that when we bring the body into healing, something softens.
The armour loosens.

And so does relief.

When someone arrives in session overwhelmed, breath is often our starting point.

It’s the one tool that’s always with you.
Inhale into the belly.
Exhale longer, slower.
And repeat.

Pair that breath with a gentle movement, a twist, a fold, a shape from yoga, and suddenly the mind quiets.
You meet the now.
You soften your grip on control.

This is more than relaxation.
It’s the rewiring of safety at the deepest level.
